Number 7: They Want Revenge On Those Who Insulted Or Criticized Them.
There are many reasons why narcissistic people want to destroy other people, but one of the biggest is that they don’t think they deserve to be insulted or criticized. They often have deep-seated insecurities about their self-worth. So, when someone calls them out or points out something they did wrong, it can directly attack their character. It hurts more than they’d like to admit.
Narcissists are very sensitive and can easily become upset. They do not handle rejection well and will go out of their way to make sure that they get back at anyone who makes them feel bad. Also, they become obsessed with getting revenge because they have a deep-seated need to be admired. Narcissists can’t stand the thought of someone else thinking less of them; it’s all-consuming for them.
Number 8: They Feel Empty Inside.
They’re trying to convince themselves that they have value by making other people feel worthless. Even if they are highly successful and have a lot of money, power, and material possessions, narcissists often feel empty and unfulfilled. They are deeply dissatisfied with their lives because they lack genuine empathy for others and thus have no true connection to anyone or anything.
Narcissists may also feel ashamed that they are unable to meet the expectations of others or that they are not good enough in some way. That’s why they can be so cruel and abusive because narcissists feel empty inside, it can be tough for them to see other people as having any worth at all.
It’s incredibly difficult for a narcissist to see another person as an equal because they don’t believe they are similar to anyone else. To feel better about themselves and their lives, they need to eliminate anyone who threatens that feeling of superiority.
