They know how to gently push your buttons, so you don’t notice they’re present. Blaming is an option for narcissists who refuse to accept responsibility for their faults. Putting your trust in someone who constantly blames you can only hurt you. According to a study, people who blame others for their faults, lose prestige, learn less, and do worse than those who own up to their mistakes.
Number 7: Narcissists are good at making excuses.
They are skilled at making excuses for their undesirable behaviors. These excuses cover their incompetence, lack of intelligence, education, and lack of a witty personality or attitude. These excuses are designed to make you feel bad about questioning their motives.
They are good at spinning stories to keep you around. Every single time narcissist will go to any lengths to be attractive, maintain control, and gain adoration or praise. Never place your trust in someone who is constantly making excuses. Someone who makes excuses only serves to demonstrate their commitment to you. When a narcissist says they are busy with something important, take note. These reasons will only serve to conceal his intention to discard you.
Remember that narcissists wear masks and pretend to be someone completely different from everyone else. They will never care about how you feel. Instead, they will pretend to be trustworthy to gain something from you. Do not put too much faith in them because they will take advantage of you and emotionally drain you. They will eventually discard you once they have obtained all they can or need from you. Never trust a narcissist because they have never known trust in general.
