Number 4: A narcissist sabotages your financial situation.
No one should have more than the narcissist, and certainly not you. In a relationship with a narcissist, you must remain financially weaker. Only then will you stay dependent and controllable. To maintain this state, a narcissist will stop at nothing.
Do you think it’s a coincidence that your partner creates a scene every evening, especially when you are working on a presentation that could lead to a promotion? That’s calculation. Narcissists meticulously observe your every move. As soon as you try to elevate yourself, they will tear you down.
Number 5: A narcissist emotionally abuses you.
You have a good friend or partner, and for weeks you’ve been seeing each other almost daily or having long phone conversations. Suddenly, your partner stops responding. They don’t answer the phone, and you wonder what’s wrong. When you send a message, you receive a strangely aggressive or accusatory response.
At first, you are completely taken aback. Then you convince yourself that you’re imagining the dismissive tone. Next, you look for rational explanations for their behavior. What you don’t realize is that a narcissist does this intentionally.
These people meticulously plan the emotional pain they inflict on you. Just when you are at the peak of your happiness, they let you fall. Your feelings of suffering and despair are their nourishment. If you start doubting your perception and sanity, the narcissist has achieved their goal.
