But to conclude, the Narcissist is affected by every loss of Narcissistic Supply no matter how big or small the amount. They cannot tolerate not being the center of attention or having the servitude or emotional investment of those around them. So, although some Narcissists may show indifference to you ignoring or leaving with no contact it was not without hesitation and emotional upset. Narcissists are very petty and insecure, and they do care what people think of them. They also love to be the one in control of the people and relationships in their lives and deciding to ignore them or go no contact is stepping outside that control. Control is everything to the Narcissist so of course they do care when they lose it.
