Why Narcissists and Empaths Result In A Toxic Partnership?

8. The empath’s compassion

Because of the empath’s compassion and love for the narcissist, they are always being taken advantage of, and the empath does not even notice it. Narcissists often take control of the empaths to do things their way. They even monitor the movements of the empath, even if they are not with them. Because the empath has a lot of understanding to give, it is often used against them, and the narcissist just keeps doing the same things over and over. A narcissist wants the empath to make them their world.

7. Narcissist’s desire to be worshipped

Narcissists always want to be the center of attention not just from their partner but from everyone else as well. They tend to always brag and boast about their relationships, careers, and every aspect of their lives. They want to always be in the spotlight, to be worshiped or treated above all others. Empaths tend to be attracted to this kind of personality. Little do they know that they will start to admire the narcissist because of their achievements. When the empath shows a hint of admiration, this is where the narcissist will show off to make the empath admire or even worship him or her. This is where the toxic relationship starts.

6. Empaths forgive easily

In the course of the relationship, the narcissist will always be the one to demand more than he or she deserves. They tend to start by controlling the empath’s every move and telling them things like where to go, what to do next, how to dress, and how they should act. Because of the empath’s unconditional love and compassion towards others, they easily forgive the narcissist, even when the narcissist starts to abuse the empath through words, emotions, and physical contact.
