5. Narcissists putting down the empaths
When narcissists see the empath not complying with their demands, they automatically get angry and throw tantrums. Narcissists tend to catch the empath’s attention by doing these things. They want the empaths to make them the number one priority in their relationship without even caring for the empath’s situation and feelings. This is the start of the narcissist manipulating the empath into submission. In every action that the empath is going to make, the narcissist will require them to report it. And for every action of the empath that the narcissist does not like, they will then resort to abuse and violence. Another thing narcissists don’t want is for their empath partners to outshine them because of their pride and ego.
4. Empath making the narcissist the center of their world
When you love someone, do you make them your world? This is the question that we should ask ourselves to verify what love is and what is not. You see when we love someone, we should not give our everything because there will come a time that the person we love is going to disappoint us. But for an empath, give all their love and compassion towards the narcissist. This state will end up making the latter the sole center of the empath’s universe. However, the empath’s love for the narcissist will never be reciprocated in kind. This results in the empath being taken advantage of.
3. Narcissists playing the victim
This is the part that narcissists love to do playing the victim. Narcissists are always good at seeking attention and empathy. They always talk about their life, their struggles, their feelings, their careers, and their success. They will not bother to ask how the day of their significant other went or how they are feeling. They always talk about their achievements and hide their true struggles and sadness. This entitlement is one of the things the narcissists maintain to create delusions of a better world in their minds. Narcissists will also blame the empaths for the misfortune in their relationships, even though they were the ones responsible for it.
